Suwanna has been our Special Occasion restaurant since it was The Stanley Inn. The new chefs nailed the dinner - the menu is mostly the same and it was delicious. We enjoyed Massaman Curry, Pineapple vegetable and scallop, Sweet and sour Shrimp, and Ginger Fish. Food was 5*.
We were one of only 2 couples - and although we asked for Sauvignon Blanc we received Chardonnay, and I specifically asked for no rice - yet got it anyway - service was friendly but not listening. We were gifted with a glass of wine on the house.
Regarding the Reno’s - other than the new bar at the back, and the ventilation system - things appeared the same in the main rooms.
Dinner was 30% more expensive despite only drinking glasses of wine whereas we usually buy a bottle of wine and often enjoy coffee and dessert, and specialty drinks.

We had been an occasional customer of the pre-Covid Suwanna, but somehow had not made our way back. Well we did and it is fantastic! The food quality and deep flavours are beyond its closest Saint John competitor. The 1800’s home interior has been restored with updates including needed HVAC. The bar is gorgeous. Thai beer on tap. The service was exceptional. Put Suwanna back on your list of regular restaurant stops!

Hands down best place I EVER ATE in my life I was hesitant on ordering the curry because I had high expectations as no where or no one has ever topped splash’s curry. Their curry here at Suwanna was much better than splash’s. Also our waitress Megan was amazing at her job. We found our go to Spot to eat out thank you so much. This place has so much pride in their food an customer service best restaurant I ever been to hands down.

Recently attended Suwanna after many years. Sauces were delicious but the chicken pieces in both dishes were dry and therefore hard to chew. It also took almost an hour after eating our appetizers for the main dishes to arrive. Decor was beautiful but room was fairly cold.

The lemon chicken was not what was expected and borderline burnt. Pad Thai was amazing though!

Desapointed.

I was expecting a better meal whit what heard about that place.

Korat noodles were all sticked together and not good taste.
Pineapple chicken stir-fry wasn’t good . Clear sauce and raw peppers. Not tasty enough.
Cashew chicken stir-fry was a better but not that much.

The place is nice and the servers are very nice too!
